Dodgeball Sydney was born in August 2010 when a young sports fanatic started looking for a new social sports competition. Tired of the same old social sport leagues, Joe recruited his sister Holly to help in his search and together turned their minds to other sports they had enjoyed in the past. Dodgeball was always a highlight in PE class and seemed like a sport that a lot of people could get into. Surely there must be a dodgeball league in Sydney!?
After some extensive googling we realised that the dodgeballers of Sydney had no outlet, no stomping ground to play their beloved sport. So we started our own league with 12 teams of friends, family and facebook fans at Five Dock and the rest is history.
Today the league has grown to be the biggest in NSW. We have developed new rules, referees training, social and corporate functions and even All-Stars series for Sydney’s best. We couldn’t have done it without our amazing players (and friends) who make our league so much fun week in, week out. We love the vibe on dodgeball night and think we are onto a winner with a fun, exciting sport that anyone can play.

We host Australia’s largest dodgeball community, catering to mixed teams of all abilities. Whether you’re a die-hard sports enthusiast or a first-time social athlete, we have a division that will suit you and your mates. Dodgeball is a sport that is incredibly easy to learn but difficult to master. It’s a great cardio workout and it’s sure to test your reflexes and hand-eye coordination.
We pride ourselves on the tight-knit feel of our community of players and staff. So we host regular social events for our members.
